Default leveling kit

hey guys. I just put new wheels and tires on my 94' z71. I downsized my wheels to a 15" and put 33 1250 15's on. I love them but i have a slight rub on my bumper corners when I flex the suspension a little. I am considering installing a 3" leveling kit and I wanted to know if anyone had any advice about installation. My main focus is to get clearance and secondly to get a slightly more aggressive look. any advice will help.

crank the torsion bars, it'll give you 1.5-2 inches but it will make it ride rougher

psh... you don't need to crank the T-bars. A real man just takes a Sawz-all and goes to town.

It's what I did. My 33"s don't rub at all, and I've got a crazy offset wheel too.

I would not recommend cranking up the torsion bars. This will cause your truck to alignment to be messed up. Also if you do any aggressive driving you will not have as much suspension give. If you have to crank them up just to get tire clearence do as little as possible, but I think the 3 inch lift will do you much better performance wise and it will look better.

To vrank the torsion bars just make sure you have the right size wrench and you are on level ground. Turn the bolt even on both sides. I am goin to do this on my 04HD but only about 1/2 inch to an inch. I would recomend an alignment right after. Also making a clean cut on your bumper isnt a bad idea. Just make sure the line is straight.

well i was not planning on cranking the factory keys. I was going to buy different keys that are supposed to give extra lift. are the new ones going to bebad too or can you keep the factory ride and still crank them. I need to find the cheapest way to get lift without sacraficing ride quality or making new problems. any advice?

Honestly I only had about 5/8 of an inch of lift tops on the torsion bars on my 91. Any higher and it would bounce like a basketball over our lovely pot-hole covered, PA roads.
