leveling my truck

leveling my truck
hey guys, I have a 2006 GMC Seirra Crew Cab 4x4 with 7000 miles on it. It is a 1500 model and does that ugly nose dive that I am sure you all know of. I have called a couple 4x4 shops in my area and they all told me to crank up the torsion bars. I just did it this morning. I had to turn them as far as they would go to get it level but it did do it. I like the way it looks now. Does anyone here know if I will cause any problems by doing this. I know I should get the front end checked. Also if this is good then what size tires and rims should I put on it. I would like it to look agressive but not super swamper agressive. What offset is proper for the rim.
Thanx for any help and Happy Holidays

RE: leveling my truck
Hello, I would like to do the same to my '06 1500. Do you have any pics of your truck after you got it done. Also, I have never owned a gm truck before and was wondering how you tightened the torsion bars... did you have to have the truck off the ground to do it? thanks, kevin

RE: leveling my truck
I have one of these trucks also...
and I also hate the LOOKS of the *** end being higher than the front end.
My questions is why would you raise the front (by cranking on torsion bar adjusters)
rather than lowering the rear (box end) with spring lowering shackels???
This has always been the more appropriate, standard way of "Leveling" the vehcle.
Just my 2 cents! Larry
Hey anybody read my complaint on the door trim Fading??
IF so please respond if you have reported this back to your dealers or not.
Thanks!
