I have a 99 silverado and I would like to convert it to a diesel. Any suggestions

I dont know of any forums were there is allot of diesel guys but here is one click. just Google it im sure youll find a better one. By the way WHY??????

 

My oppinion, Just get a new truck dude. thats a big hastle. Engine mounts, tranny, electronics configuration, exhaust bending and mounting..ect. But I did see once where a guy put a cummins in a dakota...lol

 

it'll be easier to get a diesel p/u and swap your body to that truck

 

I agree with Argon. On top of all the mods to just get the motor in there, to get the susp to sit right you will have to put some king of bigger susp in the front. The diesel is heavier. Wait until Chevy puts the smaller D-Max into the 1500Hd and then get one of those.
