Ok, I have an 02 silverado, and my low coolant light keeps coming on. Some times it will go away, but only for a short while. I continually check and its fine... Is it a sensor or somthing? Are they hard to replace, or expensive? Does it affect the way your truck runs at all? Thanks for the help

 

It shouldnt affect the way it runs. It sounds like the sensor is going bad or dirty and isnt reading correctly. Its located in the bottle and shouldnt be hard to change.
