Angry major stalling issue - help!!

I have a 2002 Sierra, 2 wheel drive, 1500 w/ about 80,000 miles on it. A few months ago it started stalling every once in awhile when I turned the steering wheel sharply while at low speeds (like turning into a parking spot or making a u-turn). It will start right back up & I can continue with either parking or completing the u-turn. In the last week or so, I noticed that it would stall just about every time I turned sharply. Being stuck in the middle of an intersection while trying to make a u-turn (as I'm quickly shifting into park, then starting it back up, shifting back to drive, etc. ) is NO FUN!! It makes no difference if I have a full tank of gas or not. Anyone else have this problem? And if so, how did you fix it?

Well when you turn like that, it puts a load on the motor and the IAC valve is supposed to compensate for the load and bring the idle up a little. So im thinkin diagnose the throttle body first.

Hey,
I had a very similar problem to yours, when i would change gears from park to drive or reverse or whatever it would stall. Or sharp turns like yours, BUT my problem was the front main seal on the transfercase was gone and sucking all the tranny fluid out of the tranny and running it dry. But that won't be your problem cause yours is a 2wd not a 4wd.

But probably wouldnt hurt to check ur tranny fluid either..mabe low??
Other than that i would be thinking its intake like Ruffneck4lyfe said.
