Default More performance??

Have a 99 Silverado, 1500 4wd, 5.3 with 4" lift. Ocassionally I pull a 16' Toyhauler on my trips to the desert looking for gold. I wanted a little better performace than stock. About a year ago, I changed out my stock MAF sensor w/ a Granatelli MAF sensor. I also installed a Hypertech Performance Program into my truck computer. I have received several PO171 and PO174 codes which are lean left or right banks. In trouble shooting I found out through Hypertech, these two modifications are not compatable together.
My question to all is, price disregarded as I have both already, which component would give me more performance and or mileage. I am going to run one for awhile then the other, but looking for a faster answer. Thanks, Shep

Default RE: More performance??

the tuner is prob givin u more power, aftermarket MAF's arent a very big hp gain on a stock/lightly modified motor. ive seen cars dyno LOWER after installing a bigger MAF. if ur serious about doing a MAF upgrade u gotta have it tuned with larger fuel injectors to be efficient
