I was wondering if ayone has heard a 07 silverado or a year close to it with a 5.3 liter,( i have the classic body style, ) with a magnaflow exhaust? Are they good exhausts? and does magnaflow hi-flow cats throw codes? is it worth it to put the hi-flow cats on? Im looking for a loud system, someone told me to go with cherry bombs but..... thats seesm kinda redneckish. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Im a fan of a good ol' flowmaster and if you want it loud then go with the super 44. Thats their loudedest muffler. Other then that i would check out the FAQ's section at the top of the fourm. good luck

 

I got the Magnaflow 24" and its pretty loud . Magnaflow's are strait thew and the smaller the sive the louder it is.

 

i dunno, i got some flows with glasspacks...uh-MAZIN!Ive had people ask me if I had a cam numerous times.

 

I havea flowmaster and love it, but I just helped my girlfriends dad put a magnaflow system on his 06 F150 and that is also a very nice set-up and it sounds great. I think mine is a little louder tho.

 

has anyone ever head a dumped exhaust on the 5.3?

 

I just got my exhaust dumped right before the rear axle and it sounds great. Not to load in the cab and since my body lift it does not look funny sticking out the back.

 

you guys think a glasspack in place of the muffler would do anything? I put them on older cars before with the stock pipe and you can't really hear it too well.

Does dumping the exhaust kill the backpressure real bad? Does is sound ok with stock OEM muffler?
