I have a 1992 Chevy z71, it is a gm 9.5 14 bolt and the rear end just took a crap. I blew both inner and outer pinion bearings and the axel bearings are shot as well. I was told that it would be cheaper to buy a rebuilt rear end and install it my self then to pay someone to take a part my broken rear end now and fix the bearings because it is such a extensive job ( I took it apart and it is beyond me how to do it ). I was wanting to know if anyone could help me find a rebuilt one for me or could point me in the right direction. I am located in Orlando, Fl so if any of you local guys could help me that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bryan

 

I live in PA so im not local but check junkyards that you pull the parts off the truck yourself

you'll get a whole rear end and its cheaper than buying a new one if you take it off yourself.

 

Yea I was thinking about it but I dont want to buy a rear end from a junk yard and 3 months down the road the same thing happens again. They arent going to tell me at the junk yard weather the bearings are good or not in the rear end. I am just trying to find one that is rebuilt and I know that it is in good working condition.
