Default new goodies and a question

just got my airaid modular intake tube (stock tube w/o the silencer) and trans dapt tbs installed... i got the "torque-curve" tbs, its supposed to give me more mid-range torque, and it feels like it really does...

anyway, im thinking some headers for my next project, so im wondering: shorty headers give torque, long tube gives horsepower, right? and what are some good shorty headers for the money (as in under 500)

depends on what youre doing with the truck, you want low end torque especially for off roading and towing, and horsepwer for racing, daily driving. You can get headers pretty cheap at online stores that buy stuff directly, do a google search for the headers and some kind of site should pop up. Try ebay too.

Actually you got it backwards. Long headers for torque, short for HP. Performance center is where I got mine (went with shorties) and I like them. Tows my boat just fine, and is fast at mid and high RPM.
