Someone told me there is a factory sub under the center console if you have the bose system. I haven't verified this info, yet. However, MTX makes a box with a powered 10" to fit under the center console. $600

The bose in the suburban sounds pretty good to me... But thats my opinion. And i think u can get them installed at like circuit city for like 100-200 bucks. but thats more $$$ u dont HAVE to spend.

The bose option does have a sub in the console, but it isn't very good if you like big base. I think it is a 6.5". I haven't looked at it yet though, just was told the size by a shop. I thought about getting the bigger box and sub, but you have to give up the storage in the console, and rearaudio controls. I also ofund the bose sounds best if you turn the treble to 3/4 and the base up all the way.

A sub ain't bad tho, I have a 10" under the backseat. I take all the bass of the other speakers and "fill it in" with the sub. This helps prevent distortion from other speakers. It sounds pretty good (considering the other speakers are factory). Its not crazy bass, just enough to make Led Zeppelin come alive in my truck!
