new headers

RE: new headers
The JBA are very nice, but expensive. I was looking at those as well, but they only claim 1 more HP and Tq than the edlebrock, and at a $200 difference it was not worth it to me. But if you want the best power, then JBA. Also I didn't lose any low end, but gained a bunch of top end.

RE: new headers
You know I'm not trying to argue with anybody here but it's just suprising to me how many people on here swear by the gains they got out of short tube headers and pretty much every one on fullsizechevy.com swears they suck and are a waste of money and effort. I really wanted to put some on mine but there is just too much indecisive debate. I certainly am not gonna do anything to hinder my backpressure at this point though.

RE: new headers
You won't see much in the way of gains with shorties - they don't flow much better than the stock manifolds. This has been shown repeatedly on the dyno. If you want gains, go with some Thorley Tri-Y headers or some long tubes (Pacesetter, Arizona Speed & Marine, Stainless Works, OBX, etc.).
