Default New Springs/Leaf Springs

Hey guys, i was looking at some suspension stuff and came across the lowering kits for silverados. I was thinkin about buyin the lowering leaf springs for my truck, what you guys think?

It will work but its a bit of work to put them in. You can find kits that have the drop spindles for the front and the lowering shackels for the rear that aren't too bad in price.

You can get2" drop shackles for about $50...

But why? I do not understand lowering trucks. Its a truck, jack it to the sky! I guess its a southern thing.

I like lifted trucks more then the low riders, but i only want to lower my truck an inch or two, just for a better ride and handling. Plus i couldnt afford to raise my truck right now, the actual lift and the mpg id get.

But it looks so nice and my truck rides great. Its funny when my wife drives my truck she barely keeps it under the governer, bu tonly goes 5-10 over in her car. She says the truck rides so good you can't tell how fast you are going. I also drive alot slower in her car. You won't see me lowering, not ever. Like I said it is the redneck in me.

I live up north in Mass, and i live in a smaller town thats out there, i was thinkin about lowering, but im not gonna. Thanks for the help guys.
