Hey, I just bought a 2000 gmc sierra 1500, it doesn't have an owner's manual but the original window sticker was in it. It says it has an engine hour meter, where is it located or how do you access it? Also can you access things thru the driver's message center or is it just like a smart idiot light.

In the silverado section I read that you just cycle the odometer button but that didn't work for mine. Does the engine have to be running because mine was off with key in runwhen I tried?
edit; I remember cycling thru while driving and not seeing the hour meter either[&:].
