Nissan frontier vs silverado
Yeah every comparison between the Silverado and the Tundra has the Tundra beating it in performace, but when loaded the Tundra slows down moreso than the Silverado. (Ex: Silverado maxed out in payload versus Tundra with same payload, Silverado pulled pretty close times when loaded as unloaded, Tundra slowed more.) Matter of fact they were very close in performance when loaded. The last comparison was C&D I think, that had the Silverado come out on top because of the price tag and look and function of the truck. Kinda pisses you off because you know there is plenty of power in the Silverado but its "corked" because of the drivatrain problems they have had.
Common new six speed!
I would be torn between the Votec Max in a Sierra vs. the Tundra if I had to buy one today. But that six speed auto would seal the deal. (Especially if they actually allow the engine to make torque when accelerating and shifing).

Ahhh, you might want to recheck your souce on that one, or maybe look at some vids ( like tundra versus the competition on youtube) or pick up a Sept. 07 issue of Consumer Reports to see some test numbers before you defend that statement. I think your in for a surprise!
I'm not sure what chev your comparing a Tundra to? The only GM with engine specs comparable to a Tundra is the new 6.2L in the Denali. A six speed and 4.33 rear on a 5.3L wouldn't do it and then the mpg's would be much worse than a Tundra also. A tundra puts out about the same hp to the wheels that a chev 5.3L puts out at the crank, I don't see any apples to apples comparison there?

Nevermind, it WAS actually comparing apples to apples, a 2005 Silverado and 2005 Tundra. (no pics)
