no backup lights
I have a problem with my 95 chevy as I have no backup lights. the manual says the nutural safty switch on the transmission is what controls them? is this correct? Its an automatic trans,I have no power to the bulbs

Yup, the manual is correct. The neutral safety switch is exactly what turns on power to the bulbs.
But as long as you are absolutely sure that you have no power (Ground the clamp of your test light and put the needle into the light bulb socket when the truck is in reverse), start with checking your fuse, and work your way up the chain. Do you have power going into the neutral safety switch? Is it coming out and heading out back to the truck? Look at your wiring diagram and see if there are any other connections between the neutral safety switch and the tail light socket.
