Default Noise from A/C

Hey guys i have a 2003 silverado 5.3L V8 and im getting this wierd noise only when the a/c is on. The best way to describe it is if you where to put a stick into a fan. It only happens when i have the a/c on and im just starting to accelerate it will last for about 5 to 10 seconds and not happen again untill the truck is shut off. It also seems like it happens more the hotter it is outside. This was happening for about a week and the belt snapped so i replaced it with a factory gm belt and when i was down there i notice the a/c belt tensioner was fully flexing and hitting metal on metal so i replaced that too. Right after i was done i got the same exact noise as before when the original belt snapped so i thought oh crap its probably the compressor so i went to a shop and had it tested and they said it tested fine. I cannot figure out what the noise is and i really do not want to take it in to chevy right away but that will be a last resort if it comes down to it. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does your truck have electric fans? I think its too old for that but just in case.

if i had to guess,i'd say your compressor is slugging...in other words, weak, and stalling on oil/freon..it makes the tensioner bounce...sounds like compressor time to me,but i'm just a dumb dealer guy

thats what i was thinking too and thats why i had it tested they said they could put it on this machine and they could tell if it stalls or anything and they said that the machine said it tested fine. But i still think your right i just think its bull that a compressor would be going out on a 5 year old truck.

75500 miles and 1000 miles over my warranty it just went out at 74500 miles. Another thing i was wondering is if the a/c compressor was locking up would it only do it when i start driving because it only happens for about the first 10 to 15 seconds after turning the truck on.

i think you have no choice. if you still can't solve the problem bring it to chevy now. if the noise still bothers you bring it now.

What is happening is the compressor is locking up. hence the tensioner and belt broke. With vehicle in park and A/C on rev engine to higher rpm 5000-5500rpm if you get the noise replace the compressor and install a suction screen to prevent material in the system from going into compressor.
