I'm noticing more and more racket from this thing.The first racket I'm curious about seems to come from the engine bay against the firewall somewhere. When you turn the truck off and while I'm sitting idleing it sounds like a chest of watery ice slushing around. It's almost like what a lot of diesels sound like when you turn them off.

Second annoying sound is coming from fenders I think. When I'm cruising down the highway at say 45mph+ I can here is plastic tapping racket.... I thought it was those rubber pieces that cover the hood hinges cause I could see them flapping around when I was going down the road so I tore them off but it's still doing it. Also thought it could be the plastic lining in the wheel well but doesn't seem loose at all. It's pretty loud at 65-70mph and frustrating.... any help PLEASE!

 

i get that chest of ice type thing from time to time. i think that has something to do with the coolant going into the heater core.

 

i think the windshield rubbers are flapping on ya at hi speeds...does it have a bugshield?...try removing that and see

 

That's what I thought but it's coming from down low... like atleast half way down the firewall. That's why I had thought it might be the wheel well liners.

I know this is total guesswork and I'll probably never figure any of these out this way... just thought it couldn't hurt.
