The guy was a nut to have the brake controller...he towed a 20 foot bass boat. He was a lake fishing guide. I think the shocks are standard as the truck rides great and really takes bumps well with no weird rattles. It feels really solid. The rear end is a 3.42, but will probably end up a 3.73.
My favorite thing is the truck is as clean underneath as it is on top. It came from central florida and has ZERO rust. It's amazing how many northern trucks end up around here. I looked at quite a few!

 

Ok the first thing I wanted to do was replace the drivers door pins. The door had a slight drag when closing and sometimes it wouldn't shut on the first try. It has been a while since doing this job and it went smoother than I remembered it to. I did have to dig fairly deep in my tool box to find the spring tool, but I did find it and I couldn't imagine trying to get that spring out and back in without it. I didn't take any pictures - didn't want to bore you with a picture of a new pin in a door. Anyways, I can check that off the list. The door shuts perfect now!

Just an update - the project truck is no longer. I decided to sell it to pick up another project bike. I just wanted to let everyone know. If anyone wants to buy a set of lowering spindles let me know.

 

How much drop and what year do they fit?

 

They are 2" and will fit 88-98. The 92-98 trucks require the older brake rotors though.
