My whole point of view came from a friend of mine with a Dart and a 426 Hemi. He built it to about 700 rwhp and twisted the damn thing over the course of a few months.

 

I will never own a vehicle with that much horsepower so it's okay. At best, maybe 400hp.... if I'm ever so lucky. The Z28 would have been a good start if I had been more patiant. But what's done is done.[&o]

 

i want to get my hands on an old z28 so so so bad! paint it mettalic black and have american racing rims on it... with a 454 under the hood! if i could fit it! and enough power to smoke any one of these ricers...(im not knockin them, i just hate losin to them!) that would be the ultimate dream... oh and cant forget about the ultimate sound system!

There used to be one almost identical to that around the block from my house. Only difference was it had the white sport stripes down the center. Good luck finding one of those. Everybody in America knows those are some of the most sought after muslce cars in the world

 

luckily im in canada... maybe the odds will be a little better! lol
its a dream car.... project car... but i beauty nonetheless

I love the fact that you can beat the royal **** out of that Toyota and it'll still run. W00t!

 

What are you running in the Toyota? 22re? I think you should drop a 7M-GTE in there from a Turbo Supra. That would be LOTS of fun.

but yes you are right! you can beat the **** out of this thing time and time again and it will keep on running! i blew a connecting rod and the damn thing still wanted to keep going! i just couldnt bring myself to run it any longer! lol pretty cool to hear an engine that is only firing on 5 cylinders keep bangin through the pain!

that would be crazy amounts of fun actually(supra swap)...... interesting! what about mounting on that!?? do you think it would take alot more work? or just a quick swap?

very very interesting... might be a little cheaper than the $4000 rebuild i plan on doing already!

These guys are running Toyota pickups with Supra engine swaps done on them. I guess they make a conversion kit or something.... or maybe they just bolt right up. I am not sure but they've got all the info you need right there.

 

I think if you get the ones with the 20s on them then the tire/wheel combo looks just fine on the new trucks. Its just that I wont buy a 2 wheel drive and let me tell you 20s in the mud will sink you rather quickly. They are too heavy and fight against you way too much. I absolutely love the new Chey/GMC trucks though and as soon as I can afford one will deff be trading mine in!
