Default Powering the Bully Dog GT tuner

Hello, I have just started to work on my truck now and have a quick question about my tuner. If im just going to be using the bully dog tune for a daily driver, then after i load the tune onto my ECU, do i really even need to have my tuner in the truck? I know there are plenty of features that the tuner shows, but it isnt necessary is it? I just dont want to mess with the fuse tap right this minute, but done want my tuner to sit around doing nothing. Cause the OBD2 port can power the tuner manually, right?

Is your tuner and hand-held or does it have to be mounted in the cab? I would suggest contacting Bully Dog.

well, just installed the tuner and everything seems to be working ok. I drove it around the block and it didnt seem like there was that big of a difference. We will see how fuel efficiency goes.
