I just got my oil change.I need to know how to reset my oil life back to 100%. Ihave a 2006 silverado

 

Turn the key on only but do not crank the motor and press the gas pedal fully 5 times within 3 seconds. The info light will blink twice, then crank the motor and the change oil light will flash several times to let you know it is reset and will go off. Remember the truck reminds you every 4500 miles, not 3000. So keep a log of your miles if you wanna stay within 3000 oil change intervals.

 

if your truck had the driver information center (DIC) you can go to the oil life remaining and hold the check button until it is reset to 100%
