Removing Front Grille/Removing Front Shocks

Removing Front Grille/Removing Front Shocks
Two questions: 1) on a '94 Suburban Silverado, how does that front Grille come off? Do the amber side light lenses pop off to access screws or bolts?; and 2) Do I need to remove those mud guard flaps in the engine compartment to change out the front shocks or can I work that upper bolt leaving the flaps in place?

Open the hood, you will see a bunch of small screws holding the grill on. The side marker lights, you pop the bulb socket out the back. There are also a couple of clips at the bottom on the sides as you remove the grill section.
You should be able to work around those rubber pieces for the shocks

For the shocks you're gonna need to remove the rubber flaps to get access to the top shock bolt. Not a big deal, just use a screwdriver to work the push pins loose then use a pair of wire cutters/side cutters to carefully rock them back and forth while pulling and they'll pop out. Make sure to remove any bolts that hold the rubber on, because it tears very easily and once that happens it just gets harder and harder to attach the flap again.
