Yeah...A hair dryer might loosen the glue enough.....but you really need a heat-gun.Do you have any cheap tool places nearby?..
Harbor freight stores usually have em for about 20 bucks.Be careful not to get it TOO hot and blister the paint though!

Another alternative to a heat gun would be a piece of piano wire and an eraser wheel. Take about a 2 foot section of wire and put a pair of vise grips on either side. One hand above and one below the emblem slide the wire between the emblem and the 2sided tape that holds it on and work the wire up and down and back at the same time. It will come off easy. no dents from screwdrivers or plasic spreaders(it will dent easy if you try to pry against metal) or worries of blistered paint. you can then either take the left over glue off chemically(soak a rag in adhesive remover recomended for white and red paint) or with an eraser wheel that hooks up to a drill available at most auto stores.
