Replace fuel pump on 2000 Silverado ?? (help...)
#11
There was (maybe still is) a company on eBay selling Delphi pumps on eBay for $180. Which is the cheapest by far that I have found them. I bought one a few months back and was very pleased. It was actually the newer style Delphi kit that includes a new heavier harness. I was talking to my tire guy and he had one of his mechanics put it in for $150. I usually do all my own work but for $150 I let his guy do it. There are some things just not messing with if someone else can do it cheap. I have done them in the past and on a truck taking the bed off is just WAY easier. The one I just had done was in a Suburban so I would have had to drop the tank. GM should have put in an access door in the floor to pull them out. Oh well...unbolt your bed and knock it out. Good Luck!

I can hook you up with a 255lph Walbro pump if interested. $100 shipped and replaces the stock pump.
Unbolt the bed, unhook the tail lights, move the bed back, replace the pump, put it back together. It can be done in an hour or so easily.

I made it even easier and cut a hole in the bed and made my own access door so when I need to, its that much easier. But I agree, unboting the bed is way easier than having gasoline thrown on ur face.
