I have a 98 Silverado Z71 shortbed. The driver's side exterior door handle outer bracket has broken and I want to replace it. I took the interior door panel out (and managed to break more parts) but I can't figure out how to take the door handle off to replace it. Need help, suggestions???? Thanks.

 

Its very easy take the panel off on the door that holds the window assembly on it and there are two bolts one in the door the other is on the outside of the door above the latch remove them and disconnect the lock rods and it comes right out
