Default Replacing front hubs will ABS problem come back ?

I am faced with dreaded replacement of the front hubs because of "Slow speed ABS activation" on my 2002 Sierra with only 32K miles. A trust worthy shop said they would be replaced with hubs that have "Timken" brand wheel bearings for $1020, lifetime gaurantee on the hubs. My question is won't the problem come back after they get rusty also? The shop guy said "The aftermarket is aware of this problem and their replacemnts are not subject to that happening again, the sensors are riveted to the hub, the tab that holds the sensor down is plastic". Well I think on my vehicle the entire sensor is also plastic and is bolted to the hub at one of it's ends.I can't see how it wouldn't return, hubs rust, sensor air gap increases, and your right back to square one. Are hubs a part that needs to be changed a lot, every time this problem occurs? Unless the hub has been plated or some how coated to keep it from rusting I can't believe any replacement hub no matter what it's brand wouldn't have this problem again?
