Default shift kits

any body kno of a good shift kit for a 04 silverado with a 5.3? lookin to get some firmer shifts

Just get the corvette servo installed. Costs about 20 bucks and you can do it urself in bout 35 mins without taking the transmission out.

while i agree, the vette servo only does the 1-2 shift.

Trans go makes a good kit. also do the vette servo and maybe the billet 4th servo.

i have the vette servo and i like it. wish i had done the 4th servo at the same time.

look up oregon performance.

If you are towing then I would suggest the 4th servo, but if you only want firmer shifts while running WOT or street racing then either the shift kit or corvette servo helps. My servo helps 1-2 and 2-3. The 4th servo is mainly for towing so the tranny can hold onto overdrive better with a load. I installed the vette servo and with the tune took off some TM(torque managment), or added line pressure and I get a 2nd gear scratch even at 1/2 throttle.

ruffneck, you chirp second and only have the vette servo on your trans? i got a superchips programmer, cold air intake, ad full exhaust headers all the way back

yea i tow an atv up through west va, so thats why i wish i had done the 4th at the same time.
