hello out there! iam working out of town and cannot check my truck, but was wondering if anyone knows if my truck has a factory tranny cooler, it is a 2002 gmc sierra z71, with a 5.3L and a 4l60E tranny,

As far as I know, every pickup truck has a factory trans cooler of some sort. It might not be a large radiator style cooler in front of your A/C condenser, like an aftermarket one would be, but you at least have one. Your cooler could consist of a steel like being run around the bottom of the truck somewhere, two lines going to the radiator with your trans cooler inside the radiator tank. It could be any number of things, but you definitely have a cooler of some sort.

If you intend on towing regularly, I would recommend a large aftermarket cooler. Heat is a transmission's worst enemy. Keep it cool, and the transmission should last quite some time.
