How much hp can I expect, and do I need to do anything else if I install heads and headers? Thanks andrew

 

From what i have heard you get more hp and tq with long tubes. Im still debating on a exhaust system but if you have 4wd i also heard you have to run shorties.

 

Ok yea I do have 4x4 I have an 06 z71 with the 5.3. Do you have any ideas on the best shorty for the bucks?

 

To be honest the best one that my friends around here for the 5.3's. They all have been running the "Pace Setter 70-1344". Its on jegs for 249.99 the collector size I believe is 2.5in. They have an amazing flow but im not sure what the hp and tq gains are on them.
