Man, this happened ALL THE TIME to me in my Lancer, 240sx, and Conquest TSI. I know kids are usually the ones driving imports and they are constantly looking for trouble but tailgating someone for a mile or so and following them half way through town is overkill. My dad used to be a cop and he said next time I should circle a block as soon as I see one following me and just keep driving in circles until they pull me over just to make an idiot out of them. I think I'll employ that.

My step-dad has one of these for his truck. We beefed it up a couple of nights ago and damn. Made a difference for sure.

I'm not one for programmers or chips. I prefer working metal parts over computer based mods. To each their own, right. And I say go BIG on the air horn.
And as for the whole cop thing, I find that most officers are cool. And let you go easy if your cool back. Hell, I got out of a 125 mph in a 65mph zone ticket.

Yeah I've only ever gotten 1 ticket and that was for running a stop sign. But I've been pulled over a dozen times for stupid trivial crap. One old bat female officer pulled me over cause my neons were hanging down on one side of my Lancer.... WHAT THE HECK?! That's definately a horrible offense! There's no telling how many lives I put at stake! I was ashamed to show my face in public for atleast.... 0.0019 of a second.

yeah i got written up by my supervisor for my window tint and got a warning for my exhaust in the parking lot of the sheriff's office. he said that i can't go around enforcing tint violations and loud mufflers if i have them my self. my dumb response was...I don't, those are stupid laws. two days off later, i didn't drive the stang anywhere near the office again.

2 questions here. 1. Has anybody tried the radar jammer called phaser? I have been seeing alot about them, and the cops here got new instant on toys. My boss got pulled the other night and his valintine one never went off.
2. I have noticed that when I get over 105, my truck starts to only slowly accelerate rom there up. Anybody else noticed this? I am only turning around 3000-3500 rpm in third at that speed, so I am not sure what's up. Maybe it is my gearing.
To answer your second question, your running out of horsepower! Your truck's power is not enough to pull hard against the wall of air your trying to push, i.e. aerodynamics. Watch a clip of a Z06 vette on youtube once and see what 500+hp and aerodynamics will do to around 140 or so before the same thing starts to happen! All trucks like yours will be the same unless some good mods are added.

Well I definately have more power than stock with my current mods. and it is so obvious of a difference it makes me wonder if it has something to do with the cutom tune. The truck will get ot 105 quickly, but then it dramatically slows after 105. I would expect a gradual slowing, not a sudden one.

It might have something to do with the gear it is in. My 240SX had a sensor where it would cut the fuel down after a certain speed in 5th gear. You would hit 115 and then it would just stop accelerating. It wasn't the governor either, I removed that. It was like some kind of secondary system that couldn't be removed with out throwing lights. It would have the power and then it felt like you were towing another car all of the sudden.
