ok, so I have a 95 Silverado 1500 5.7 350 4x4 automatic, and I pulled the dash out as I did a million other times with other trucks and painted it and I finished putting the truck together yesterday and everything is plugged in no wire left behind, and I went to drive it and the rpm and all other gauges work except the speedometer and it didn't wanna shift gears and then shifted at high rpm with a jolt, iv searched all night for answers and just cant figure it out if someone on here has had same problem or actually knows whats going on I would be forever grateful and spread your wisdom, thanks

 

Sounds like the VSS isn't talking to your PCM/ECM/computer. Does your truck have a TV cable? And is your spedo electronic?
