Possibly a dumb question, but i can't seem to figure out how to take the steering wheel off of a 2000 chevy, I came across one in a pick a part and i managed to buy the whole up-level interior (mine is a super stripper). I took out everything i could use except the steering wheel, which i could not figure out fo the life of me! I need it though because it's a nice leather wrapped job while mine is just a lowly foam one, which is disintigrating as we speak...

Any advice wuld be appreciated

typicaly, once you expose and remove the steering wheel lock nut, there should be 2 threaded holes to mount a steering wheel remover (puller).

 

how do i get the air bag off though to get to the lock nut?

(guess i shoulda prefaced that better)
