Default Sticking speedometer

My speedometer needle seems to stick. It started to stick when it was cold but now it sticks or just doesn't move at all most of the time. Suggestions? 2004 2500hd Sierra Deisel Thanks. GT

Chevy has a bulletin out for the motors that run the gauges. Each gauge has what is called a stepper motor that runs it. The ones that Chevy used in the late 99 - 2006 trucks are known to go bad. Luckily it isn't that expensive. You have a couple options - order new motors and solder them in yourself or there are a couple people on eBay that you can overnight your cluster to and they will completely rebuild it with all new motors and overnight it back to you. It runs a little over $100 for that service that last time I checked. They will eventually all fail especially the tach and speedo which move the most. Good luck!
