Default throttle body spacer on a 350

How tough is it to install a throttle body spacer on a 1998 with the 5.7? What are the advantages of the spacer?

Default RE: throttle body spacer on a 350

Its a pretty simple install. Just unhook all cables and lines from the throttle body. Take theair cleaneroff, pull the bolts out of the throttle body and lift it off the intake manifold. Use the provided gasket along with the longer bolts that should be provided and bolt everything back up and torque to recommended settings. Put the air cleaner back on and your in business. Some instructions will tell you to pull the top connecting bolt out of the tranny to release cable tension from the throttle cable but you can look and if the cable routing mount is not mounted on there then you shouldnt have to worry about that step. I didnt have to do it on my 94 because I didnt bolt it back in there when we rebuilt my tranny! As far as advantages, It makes acool whistling sound and under the right driving conditions it may gain a MPG or two!
