Default throttle body spacers

Hi There, I was thinking about putting a throttle body spacers on my 5.3L. I was wandering if they are worth the money and if anyone has recognized any improvements on power or fuel?

no, they only work on TBI applications not 96+ trucks. go with a custom tune, best bang for the buck

agreed, custom tunes on any newer vehicle is one of the most noticeable and effective mods anyone can go with, completely blows away handheld programmers making them look like simple toys (which they are).

That said, I do have an unused unmounted Throttle body spacer up for sale if anyone is interested. For a 4.8/5.3/6.0 with OE throttle body, and is raw alu. in color and comes with everything you need, new longer bolts, and one new gasket for the other side, since you simply reuse the factory groove type gasket on the other side).
Let me know if you need some photos or are interested, just pm me.

From what a lot of my friends have told me throttle body spacers aren't really worth it unless u have stuff done to your engine

The only thing they are good for is if you drill holes in it and make it into a nitrous plate!!

I personally can say it is worth it. But you wont get the full benefit without a cold air intake and performance exhaust. And also port and polish your throttle body. What the spacer does atomize the mixture of fuel and air better. When you put sugar in a cup of coffee what do you do? You stir it to mix better. Same thing with the spacer. It creates a swirling effect enough to atomize the mixture better. Noticable MPG's increase.
