Timing mark...where should it be????

Default Timing mark...where should it be????

Hey guys,
Got an 89 GMC with 350..possibly 305,anyways.

I wanna set/reset the timing on it, Does anyone know the stock setting/Degree? Also any tips on more hp threw timing.

The default timing should be 8-10 degrees BTDC (I dont remember exact degree) It will be listed on the tag under the hood......as far as hp from timing the benifits are minimum with out doing other things

ok, so ichecked the tag..and it says 0 degrees. Tried setting it to that, and the truck would barely run.

Any ideas??????????
