Tires and Gas Mileage (tirevswheel)
ok fellas, i'm wanting to put some 35's on my tahoe after i eventually put the lift on it. well i'm concerned about the whole gas mileage thing. i have a 99 tahoe lt with a 350, right now i'm getting like 16 to the gallon stock. well i'm eventually gna put a k&n 77 intake and change exhaust as well. but all that is really besides the fact. the question i pose is that, i know 35's are going to greatly reduce my miles per gallon of gas, but does the wheel to tire ratio have anything to do with it? what is heavier, a large wheel, or a large tire? if i got like 19inch wheels and put 35's on it, would it weight more or less than say 15's with 35's? anyone with knowledge of this subject please reply. or if you have a silverado or tahoe of the same year with 35's, what kind of mileage are you getting? what mods have you installed to get it? Thanks fellas, feedback is being wanted
