I understand it's your first post and all, but there's a 'search' button up near the top of the page. This same question gets asked 400x/week, so you probably won't get an answer here.

Quickly though:

6' lift, and 35' tires will kill your mileage like a racist joke at an NAACP gathering. The 4.8L is way too underpowered to turn that much more mass, and your gearing will need to be changed before it snaps. Your speedo will also be as much as 8-10 mph off at cruising speed.

Good to have you around.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

If you do a lift like that you will have to regear your rear end. The 4.8 is underpowered in a stock truck and trying to turning wheels of that size will require a ton of power. I would be surprised if you would get 10 mpg with that set up. It would look cool but your truck would be sounderpowered it would worthless.

OK, **** & adam, I have a related question, but not one that would be easilyanswered with the search feature.I'd like bigger tires & want to know what is the perfect size for 4:11 gearing?

Oh yeah, I have an '08 Silverado with 5.3L, 3.73:1 rear. It has good power in stock form & I wouldn't want to lose any due to larger tires.

4:11 would be perfect for 35's but your mileage would drop significantly. 33's are ok with the stock gearing, little power loss that can be regained an intake and tuner. As for the original question, my rule is; if I open a trhead and I can help out I usually answer it, even if it's repeated. A 6" lift with 35's will give you some tire clearance issues. The tires will kill your little power and gas mileage and your speedometer will be off. It won't be "8-10 mph off at cruising speed" because cruising speed can be whatever you want it to be. I would say it's off by 10-12 %.
