TRANNY FLUSH QUESTION
Has anyone switched their trans fluid to synthetic? How many quarts did it take to flush all the old fluid out of the torque converter? I called some local shops today to see how much they would charge if I supplied my own fluid. The labor is the cheap part. One shop said they would need 36 quarts to get all the old fluid out, that would be $325.80 just for the fluid!! Any first hand experience will help, thanks.

RE: TRANNY FLUSH QUESTION
That could be correct if its truly flushed well..A Dry 4l60e holds about 14 quarts..so if you flush it WITH synthetic,I could see it taking 28 qts ...
Of course, many people just drain the pan and refill it...but that only allows you to add about 6 of the 14 qts.
