trans bolt stuck..

Default trans bolt stuck..

the bolt thats on the bottom of my transmission pan is stuck and i cant get it out the bolts that are the right size is slipping and i dont want it stripped

any ideas to get it out? vice grips are my last resort

Impact or torch.

If all else fails take it to a proffesional to just pull the one bolt... it won't run too bad

Try one of these. They work pretty good for rustly and stripped bolts. Get one that fits good and tap it onto the head of the screw gently, then put a large socket on there and try to take it out.

Worst case is you have to vicegrip it off. Or if the bolt its self is stuck, heat up the bold only, let it cool for a while naturally, don't drench it, and then try to get it out. My thinking is if the bolt is stuck in some sort of gunk, the expansion will free it, then when it contracts, it'll be unstuck.
