Transfer Case problems??
My Son has a 2000 chevy 1500 4x4 ( push button 4x4 ) Yesterday I think the Transfer Case starting acting up on him. In drive 2hi it kind of feels like it is in 4x4, if I put it in 4hi then back in 2hi while driving slow the front wheels almost lock up, it feels like I hit the front brakes but I never touched the brakes. It sounds like the 4lo 4hi 2hi is engaging properly while in park. Until I can figure this out can the Truck still drive OK in 2hi if I remove the front drive line. Has anyone had this problem. Thank you

 

Dont risk it. Park it till its fixed.

 

is the sevice 4wd light on in the message center?
