transmisson
I have a '93 chevy Silverado 4x4. Reg.cab with the 5.7 TBI, and auto trans.only 144,000 miles. Sometimes when driving, the transmission doesn't want to shift correctly. I have to really give a good bit of throttle and when it does shift, it really shifts HARD. Trying to find out what may be the problem. Had the transmission serviced about 6 months ago as a preventive measure, and mechanic said at that time it looked fine. Also, does anyone know how to tell which trans. it is by the VIN number? thanks for any help?
Actually, I have a 2001 Silverado 4x4 extended cab and when I have been driving it on the highway for more than an hour straight usually over 60 miles an hour, when i slow down and get into traffic the transmission shifts really HARD into second gear, it has been doing it for a while and I took it to two shops to see if anything was wrong and nothing came up, if anyone has any information as to what is wrong or how I can fix it please let me know.
