Default Truck conversion

I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax that had been rolled. the cab was crushed and there are many dents and scratchs. the frame, engine, and whole chassis is fine. i have driven it around our property a little. everything mechanicaly works. i have seen several 2wd silverado 1500's that are very cheap. would it be possibele to take the frame and bed from a 1500and put it onmy truckschassis and engine?

Thanks

Might try asking Argon. You can send him a private message by clicking on his name in the Top 10 Posters box on the right side of the screen.

I don't see why it wouldn't all fit. You will need a 2500 hood, but the fenders, cab and bed should fit just fine.

If Im not mistaken I believe all the 1500s from 06 on are the 1500 body style and they have the HD hoods on them. They are a higher rise hood so you could even find a newer truck in a boneyard and just rob the hood off of it!
