The thing is though, when it starts it runs perfectly fine. I tried one time to floor it after it hadn't started for a while and it would take off very well. It kinda gave that flooding sound. I don't know if that has anything to do with the starting problem? There is also no code showing..

Did your truck run fine when it started? Do you have any idea also what the ignition starter switch does?So you're truck also just randomly wouldn't start and then the next day it would fire right back up again? When it wasn't starting, did it sound like sometimes it would almost catch on?

my 96 silverodeo will start but sometimes when i put it in reverse it dies. i was told it was the lock up selonoid so i changed it. still same prob. but now it has a delay when u turn the switch if u try to turn it over be for u here it beep it wont start and it only does it sometimes. i think it is a short in the column. please help

 

Did you ever get an answer? I have a '99 Sierra 5.3 with the same symptoms. Turns over & seems to catch but doesn't start. Intermittent problem. Comes & goes, cold or warmed
up.

 

hi i have a 1993 chev seirra or chyanne have had a chance to run vin lol. any way she turns turns and turns but wont fire. not this truck ran mint until we parked it for 6 days to sell it at end of our driveway and since i decided to keep it, it does this and wont start since im so confused haha could ne one offer some advise thanks.
