Howdy Y'all. I just had an inspection done on my 99 Silverado and they told me that my water pump is leaking. I was wondering if any of you could tell me where the most common leaks occur on a water pump (they didn't say where). I mean do I need to replace the entire pump or could it just be a gasket or seal somewhere???

If it is a gasket leaking, the pump is likely fine, but if you are taking it off anyways.....Also, if the water is coming out of the pump drain, it needs to be replaced. Either way it is coming off of there.
