I have a 2008 1500 silverado 2wd crew cab w/5.3, I was wanting to know if someone could let me know how much weight i can safely put in the truck bed. Thanks for ur time

 

There is a sticker inside your glovebox that has the cargo weight rating. It is described in your manual on page 4-47. I can't tell you the rating since it varies depending on options.

I think i have an idea on the weight limit. If u have any more input that would be great. Also, i have noticed when the truck upshifts or downshifts u can hear a thunk coming from the undercarriage. I have been told this is normal. Just dosent seem normal to be able to hear the truck shift. Thanks for ur time.

 

The shifting noise has been mentioned on here several times. I had it when my truck was brand new but I haven't noticed it in several months. I don't think it's normal.
