What is Amp draw HVAC motor on high?
I’ve been improving the hvac system on my 97 c1500.
I’ve cleaned the evaporator coils, plugged a couple of leaks, and charged up the system.
I live in Dallas, TX and it is 105F today and my system is blowing 35F.
However, I don’t think it is moving enough air. My fan switch has four speeds and I can hear four levels of air movement.
I tested the voltage on the high speed setting and it was 13 plus volts. Then I tested the amps and the motor is pulling 17 amps. Is that too high? Is this original motor not turning as fast as it could because of wear?
thanks!
