Hey yall! My boyfriend has a 2011 LT 2wd 5.3 v8 and I am trying to find him something for his truck for Christmas and I have absolutely no idea what to get him! He likes racing and all that good stuff if that helps! I just need some suggestions because I was wanting to surprise him because I don't know what else to get a mechanic haha

 

What kid of a budget do you have?

 

remote start kit, levelling kit, fender flares, chrome exhaust tip, hood deflector, brake controller if he tows, firestone air springs... wait...can you send this list to my wife. He will have something to do; mechanics love to install stuff.

A remote start kit would be perfect! What are some good brands of them? I don't want to buy a worthless one! On a side note, he also mentioned those LED light bars, but there again I don't know what brands are good for those either!

 

I prefer the factory kits as nothing has to be spliced into the wiring harness; the factory immobilizer will not be compromised. Its just module reprogramming if the truck is keyless entry equipped.
Find a truck accessory shop for the light bar. They are expensive in Canada $500...but are probably half that in the states.
