Dang! I was about to say, that will take a couple of hours just to install a ECU! I would have been hacked if I was doing that.

 

you dont turn the truck off before trying to start it again?

 

It takes a few cycles of try to start, wait, try to start , wait. It takes about 40 min in all. But it works.

 

Ok after the first cycle of tryin to start, waitin for the security light to go off, the security light doesnt come back on

If the security light doesn't stay on, then you may have done something wrong. The pattern is try to start, leave the key in the on position, then wait 11 min. The security light should stay on.After 11 min the security light on the dash will go out, then tuen the keyy off for 30 sec. Do this pattern 3 times, then it will start.
