Who else names their trucks?

Bwaaaaa haaaa haaaa.. So true, so true...
I'll probably end up buying my brother something in the 25-35K range. The closer to 25K the better.
I even had a thought that maybe he'd like a Saturn Sky roadster, but knowing him, he'd only be happy with a 'Redline' version. 30K+.
All kidding aside, they look like pretty bad little cars. W00t!

If I left it up to our mom, a $2,000 car is what he'd get.
I don't know, I just don't want to see that happen.
I busted my *** day in and day out to earn enough money to buy my first ride, and I see my little brother doing the same thing. The only difference is, he doesn't have the same opportunities that I did. Times have changed, and the only way for him to even trickle an income is to flip burgers. In the meantime, it's catching rides with me, or hopping on the bus. Busses = not gangsta.
Oh well, I've got about 18 months to figure it all out.

Thats really a nice idea and that cool you wanna help your brother but I have to say Im with 72charger on this one. I wouldnt keep it under 2K but I wouldnt go over 10K. You can get him something nice without going over board. I worked my arss off for my first car too so I know what you mean and it was so worth it when I bought my car but I also have friends whose parents did what your thinking of doing and trust me they didnt do their kids any favors. Its your call tho.
I agree with 72Charger too. And if flipping burgers is how he can buy a car or a better car then so be it. I bagged groceries to buy my first $300 car.
1977 Ford Granada 4 door, 4 speed manual on the floor, straight six, no power steering or brakes. It was a bitch to drive at first. In highschool it was me and my buddy who had the rarest cars. He had a 4 door Impalla, a 72 i think it was. I miss that Ford It was in good shape too except for the interior because the old lady that owned it let her cats sleep in it, yeah we scrubbed the smell out but still found hair and torn up interior up til the day I sold it.
Anyhow, working for the car will make it so he appriciates the car more and learns to take care of it on his own. It builds character and independance. (I hope so anyways, cause I been paying my own way for everything since I was his age, even groceries!)
Even if I strike it rich some day or at least make a real good living, my kid is buying at least half of his own ride and taking care of it on his own unless he really needs help.

hey another grocery bagger! I did that and worked for a landscaping co. But jbcst12 is right on. I have always had to pay for anything to do with my cars/trucks (gas, insurence, repair, ect.) and I am better for it. Plus if he pays for it then he is way more likely to take care of it and be careful, not stupid. If you really wanna help him, which is very noble and generous of you, go halfsies with him or something.
I respect you wanting to help your lil bro. I have3, 2 that just turned 16.

My first car(that I owned) was a 72 Dodge Charger(hence the name). I was a bagger at Publix and I scrimped and saved my money for MONTHS trying to buy a sports car. That was the only thing my parents heard out of me for the longest time cause I was infatuated with the idea of getting an old muscle car and restoring it to drive to school everyday. Long story short, I bought the Charger for $600. The body was straight and solid for the most part but I never got it running cause the engine needed to much work and I didn't have any mechanically inclined family willing to help me with it.
She's gone now, but I wish I still had her.
Sold for a 240sx, sold for a Z28, sold for the current project 87 Toyota Supra.

My first was a 79 Labaron stait six good motor but i had to reck that car. I looked down for a minute and when i looked up i was in a ditch jump 2 driveways before I flipped that car. Came out of that one with only a scratch and a sore back.
i remember cleaning up hay stalls to buy my first vehicle, ended up going halfsies with my mom. it was a 92 chevy silverado. someone clipped my front end and sent me into a light pole. still miss that thing.
...well stop hitting light poles then! lol Just kidding. I think the first car you have is just as memorable as the first time you get laid......but at least you want the car back, lol.
Well I've owned three trucks so far and they all had names
